ABOUT US
In Fall 2015, John Caudill started envisioning life as owner of his very own Semi-Professional football team. The brainstorming started with ideas of fielding a team in a 2016 Spring league, which meant rushing a squad onto the gridiron with only 4 months or so of preparation. He decided to keep working but partnered with former Georgia Rampage (Dalton's premier indoor football team) owners, Mike Smith, to take the Dalton Danger from a dream to a reality.
2016 was a start-up year for the Dalton Danger Semi-Professional football team. Founder and Co-Owners John Caudill, Mike Smith, Steed Rymer and Benjamin Bridges are bringing the area its first true home team at the outdoor Semi-Pro level. The Danger share the city with the fast-growing Dalton State College Athletics Program.
The Danger joined the World Developmental Football League for Summer 2016 and finished the season (12-3) losing in the semi finals to the champion Henry County Horsemen. In Spring of 2017, the Danger joined the National Development Football League and took it by storm, finishing a PERFECT, undefeated (14-0) season as NDFL CHAMPIONS. But don't allow yourself to think that the Danger will be satisfied with League Championships alone! The Danger was rated in the top ten in several national rankings and have received numerous bids to play in a national tournament in January 2018, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Danger have their sights set much higher than one league crown. The Danger came away victorious in their first USA National 3AAA spring championship defeating the Ohio Cincinnati King Comets! Spring of 2018 joined the IAFL and blew everyone out except their achilles heal the Metro Horsemen. Season ended sadly with a 14-2 record losing in the playoffs. Yet again Dalton received another National invite but loss to Chiefs. The spring Danger rejoined the NDFL and yet again went undefeated and winning another championship. Finished 2019 champions and yet another national bid in January of 2020!
With covid and many other obstacles the team has endured some good but not great seasons making to playoffs the last three years but walked away very disappointed. We are looking to regain momentum for the 2024 and put yet another championship on the shelf. Team overall record sitting at 77 wins 9 losses
